Pre-med Summer Research Opportunities

Over the past five years, the Preprofessional Advisement Center in collaboration with BYU physician alumni, the BYU Medical Society and the Simmons Center for Cancer Research, have provided summer medical research internships for premed students. Last year we placed over 40 students in research positions at Harvard, Stanford, Washington University-Saint Louis, University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins among others. Students conduct research for 12-16 weeks over the summer, typically on site, with prominent medical research labs. All positions are paid.

The application for this program will open November 1, 2022.

Students are required to submit their academic history (AIM report), a resume, letter of recommendation, and a cover letter expressing their interest.
