American Medical Women's Association

Creating a community of support, friendship, and opportunity for female pre-med students at BYU. Come join us! We would love to have you!

This organization is open to all pre-medical students with specific emphasis on discussing how to overcome specific challenges faced by women pursuing a career in medicine. This group provides a safe, non-competitive forum for pre-medical students to learn about and discuss topics such as medical school prerequisites, faith and medicine, and personal challenges along the journey to become a physician. The American Medical Women’s Association is a nationally recognized organization with resources to help as students prepare for medical school. This club will connect students to these and other resources that will give knowledge, insight, and perspective in the pursuit of a career in healthcare. This group offers membership and provides services to students, regardless of their sex, in compliance with BYU’s Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity Policy.
